Mudhouse @ Library Center Now Open
posted by Rob Weislocher on January 13, 2008
It happened so quick our heads are still spinning. It is hard to believe that in a matter of a few weeks, we sent in our letter of interest, signed the lease and opened the doors to the new Mudhouse located inside the Library Center on south Campbell. The cafe was previously run by the library as Cafe 641, but after a touch of paint and some serious organizing we opened the doors on January 8th, 2008. Its only been a few days and we are still working out some of the details, but for most part we are fully set up and brewing, blending, and steeping our full menu.
To help with running the new location, we called upon two of our best and brightest, Rogan and Mae. These two have been around for years and both have proven to be key members of the Mudhouse family. Rogan is one of the smartest and nicest guys you will ever meet. He recently graduated from MSU with a degree in graphic design and when he isn't Mudslinging, he can be found working on his latest design project. Currently he is creating concert posters for the band Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin (whose second release should be out soon). Mae is perhaps one of the most delightful and creative people you could ever meet. She is one of those truly happy people that you just love being around. In addition to opening the Library Center Mudhouse each morning, Mae is working hard to finish up her fashion design degree at MSU and will graduate in May.
In addition to Rogan and Mae, four former Cafe 641 employees - Ashley, Kayla, Zane and Chris- round out our library center staff. So far, these guys seem like perfect additions to the Mudhouse Clan.
